most won’t

Most people don't hit their goals. Yeah, that’s right. And it’s not just because the universe is out to get them or some cosmic joke. It's because we're often our own worst enemies. Most people won't succeed because they won't do what's required. Most people don't hit their marks because they don't do what's required. Is that you?? Do you even know how to hit the marks? Do you know the recipe for success?

First off, the biggest fucking problem is that most people don't focus on themselves—they're too busy comparing their blooper reel to everyone else's highlight tape. Social media, peer pressure, you name it; there are a million distractions pulling us away from what truly matters. Especially the "helping other people" trap. You think you're going to hit your targets when you're too busy watching someone else hit theirs? Give me a break.

Then there's this whole obsession with being a damn pioneer. Newsflash: you're not Lewis and Clark. You don't need to forge a new path in the wilderness. There are proven methods out there—steps others have followed to succeed. But no, trying to reinvent the wheel is somehow more appealing. Why follow a map when you can get lost in the woods, right? I've seen it and have tried to implement it into organizations and teams I've been hired to help... but they feel they have to be a visionary.  The recipe is right here in front of you... but it's not always fun.

I hear people whining about how their situation is different, how their obstacles are unique. Bullshit. Success isn't a club that only the elite get invited to. It's a choice. The path is there, but guess what? It's rugged, it's steep, and not everyone is willing to climb it.

If I could turn back time, I’d have had a mental performance coach from my freshman year of high school. I’ve got two coaches now, and the difference? Night and day. Don't get me wrong, our childhood role models seemed great because we didn’t know jack shit. But in reality, half the time, they didn’t know what they were talking about. Investing in someone who actually knows their stuff can be a game changer. It’s about getting guidance from someone who’s not just talking out of their ass.

Now, onto athletes and their lofty dreams. Most athletes will never make it to the top echelons of their sport. Why? Because reaching that level of greatness is a brutal grind. It demands more than just talent; it requires an uncommon level of persistence and mental toughness. Most folks just aren't cut out for it. And that's okay. Not everyone needs to be a superstar. There's honour in leading a normal life, in finding contentment in other achievements.

But if you ask me if I'd do it all differently if given another shot? Hell yes, I would. Because while it's fine to lead an ordinary life, knowing you've pushed your limits, that you've tried to be that one in a million—that's the shit that keeps you alive. That's the shit that keeps me alive now.

If I told you a thirty-minute consultation with me could potentially put you on a different track. One that leads to success... would you try? Would you talk for 30 minutes just to see? Most won't... because it's uncomfortable, and that's the reason most cannot get to the level they desire. Also because you either think you know me or don't know me at all. What could be the harm? coach@curtispelletier.ca   I KNOW I can help. I can help today.

Don't get me wrong... some are elite and can just do what they put their mind to. I get that. That's a very low percentage. But even that low percentage has its issues. This is why they can achieve certain levels of success while completely fucking up the other parts in the process. Trust me I've been all of them.

So, what's it going to be? Will you step up, focus on your own path, and make the tough choices? Or are you going to keep getting sidetracked by every shiny thing and worn-out excuse? Keep making comfortable choices that lead to discomfort. The choice, as always, is yours. Just remember, the road less travelled is less travelled for a reason. And sometimes, hiring someone who’s already been down that road can make all the difference.
