The Process: Why Doing Sh*t Matters More Than Planning Sh*t (and Why Online Coaches Can F Off)

You’ve got dreams, ideas, visions—whatever you want to call them. Maybe you’ve scribbled them in some overpriced leather journal or made a color-coded spreadsheet that nobody gives a damn about. You think you're making progress because you’ve thought about it, planned it, maybe even told a friend over drinks how this time—this f**king time—you’re gonna nail it.

But guess what? Thinking isn’t doing. Planning isn’t progress. And dreams? They’re f**king useless if they don’t come with action.

The Myth of the Master Plan

Here’s the thing: everyone loves a good plan. Hell, I love a good plan. Plans are like drunk texts—they seem brilliant at 2 a.m. but fall apart in daylight. You can outline, brainstorm, and vision-board yourself into oblivion, but none of that matters if you’re not getting your hands dirty.

You want to write a novel? Great. You’ve outlined the characters, plotted the twists, and downloaded Scrivener. Bravo. But if you’re not sitting your ass down every day and writing the damn thing, your “novel” is just a sad little fantasy that’ll die in your head.

Same goes for getting in shape, starting a business, or, hell, just cleaning your f**king kitchen. Thinking doesn’t count. Doing does.

Enter the Fake Coaches

And here’s where it gets even worse. While you’re stuck planning and dreaming, scrolling Instagram for “inspiration,” you’re bombarded with these so-called coaches promising you the moon. You know the ones. The ones who post reels of themselves sipping green juice by their infinity pool, preaching about “alignment” and “manifestation,” like your life’s a Pinterest board that just needs a few tweaks.

Newsflash: these people are full of sh*t. They don’t care about you, your goals, or your success. They care about your credit card. They sell you this idea that success is some magical, complicated formula that only they can teach you—for the low, low price of $7,999 (payment plans available!).

It’s bullsh*t. All of it. The process isn’t complicated. It’s not hidden in some exclusive coaching Chat GPT-created program or behind a webinar signup. The process is painfully simple: do the work.

And here’s the truth: real coaches—the ones who actually care—don’t need to sell you a fantasy. They don’t promise magic, shortcuts, or effortless results because they know success doesn’t work that way. They’re not lounging by infinity pools or sipping overpriced green juice while snapping selfies for Instagram. They’re in the trenches with you, working side by side, step by step. They’re out there… just hard to find because they’re usually too busy to promote themselves.

Small Actions, Big Results

The problem with most people (yeah, I said it) is they’re obsessed with outcomes. You want the six-pack, the million-dollar business, the viral TED Talk. But the big flashy sh*t doesn’t come from big flashy actions. It comes from small, boring, unsexy habits.

You want that six-pack? Start by putting the f**king cookie down. Want the million-dollar business? Make one sale today. One. Then do it again tomorrow. The process is about the grind. Not the Instagram version of the grind, but the actual day-in, day-out slog that makes you want to slam your head into a desk.

It’s not glamorous. It’s not fun. But it works.

Why Big Expectations Will Screw You Over

Here’s the other thing about obsessing over the endgame: it’s paralyzing. You look at the mountain you want to climb, and instead of taking a step, you’re sitting there like an idiot thinking, “Wow, that’s a big f**king mountain.” No sh*t.

But here’s the secret: you don’t climb mountains by staring at them. You climb them by putting one foot in front of the other. Over and over. And yeah, sometimes it feels pointless. Sometimes you’re halfway up and think, “Why the hell did I start this?” But then you keep moving, and eventually, you look back and realize you’ve made it further than you thought.

The F**king Truth

Here’s the bottom line: the process is all that matters. Not the plans, not the dreams, not the bullsh*t in your head, and definitely not the snake oil some influencer is selling you. It’s the doing. The showing up. The small, consistent actions that eventually snowball into something bigger than you thought possible.

Stop buying into the lies. You don’t need a $10,000 course to tell you how to wake up and take a step forward. You don’t need someone else’s “secret strategy” to make progress. The strategy is this: stop overthinking, stop scrolling, and do one thing today.

Then do another tomorrow. And keep going.

Because if you’re not doing, you’re just bullshitting yourself. And if you’re paying some fake guru to sell you that same bullshit in prettier packaging? You’re getting scammed twice. Be better. You’ve got this.
